Behold my elegance

Very happy with all of this.

Very proud of myself

The Process

Here, what I've done so far is trace the outline of my prosthetics onto the places on my face I wanted, and began laying down my foundation around it.

Almost there...

At this point I've done as much of my base as I'm comfortable putting on before setting my beard and nebula. I began to comet up my eyebrows and add some stars. I also put the light blue outline around my nose. (For the record, I did this to make the human features of this being more prominent against the deep dark background.

Adding more stars, and putting on the galaxies. Also at this point I've put on spirit gum on both my face and the appliances.

Here my appliances are on, and I've added Diamond studs to add more depth to the face.

Voila

(I'D FIRST LIKE TO SAY THE BEARD MAKING WAS MY FAVORITE PART.)
Okay, I decided here that the template I made was a little to deep down on the chine, and decided to adjust it's size. I covered the template in latex and let it dry.

While it dried, I amputated some beard hair from my favorite childhood fake beard. Yes I had one.

The spoils of war

I then put down layer after layer of latex, holding the hair down into the wet latex with my sculpting tool while pulling down and away from the template.

The beard. IS. DONE!!

I creates this nebula using the same cotton ball and latex technique as we did for making scars, just with different colors.

Experiments

This was my first experiment with my foundation. I was looking for a deep-space look. This original idea was scrapped for a more solidly black look.

These are more ideas for a foundation. I chose the largest, darkest spot in this picture, which was a mix of black and blue watercolor.

Since I didn't want it to be just black all over, I obviously decided to add stars to make it more like space. I experimented with many stars of varying sizes and was very happy with the results.

I decided to next try out my galaxies and was again very happy with it.

This is where I confirmed how I wanted my eyebrow comets to look. I was ecstatic to find what I wanted on the first try with this one.

Line Elevations

This first elevation was very rough, just a basic idea of how I would transfer my ideas onto my own face.

It was much easier to do this one than the black and white one. Seeing all the colors in makeup rather than acrylic helped me to see the best way to get the colors I really wanted. It also gave me the idea to add just a hint of yellow into the galaxies and some stars to help them pop compared to some of the other white or grayish white colors on the face.

Graphical Representation

This was my first rough sketch of my idea for this design. In the end it stayed basically the same, just with some of the colors' shades and tints adjusted.
